- Hi,
-
- I've got a Golden Image hand scanner, and I use Touch Up V.3.16 which came
- with the scanner. I seem to remember reading in a mag that V.4 is now
- available although I haven't investigated this yet. Your best bet would
- probably be to contact Golden Image directly. I looked in the Christmas issue
- of Amiga Shopper and their advert gives the phone number: (0181) 9009291.
-
- On the subject of hand scanning I find the best way to get a good scan is
- first to get the material to be scanned really flat, I use a transparent piece
- of perspex for this. To hold the scanner straight I use a couple of heavy
- books such as telephone directories placed either side of the scanning head
- to guide it. Having the scanner like this makes pulling smoothly much eaiser,
- it still takes practice though!
-
- I use my scanner quite a lot for both line art and photos, please feel free to
- mail me if I can help any further.
